Moringa : Super Foods Best Kept Secret

Have you heard of Moringa, known as ‘the Miracle Tree’? If not, you’re not alone – but this may be a super food you really want to look into.  Known as the “miracle tree”, it may be one of the best kept secrets in health food in the US – but its impact has been felt all around the world.

Moringa

The plant, latin binomial Moringa oleifera, is native to India, and is now grown on many continents.

The Food Movement began importing Moringa in 2011, and since that time demand and presence in the US natural marketplace has steadily grown.  One of the reasons for this is that of all the ‘green foods’ one can choose as a supplement – Moringa has some really unique phytochemical benefits beyond the usual suspects of chlorophyll and vitamins.  The leaves provide a source of complete protein, and are an unusually rich source of nutrition.

A 2017 review in the Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine concluded ” ..due to its high nutritional value and several medicinal properties, this tree may act as a nutritional and medical alternative for socially neglected populations.”

Another review in the journal Phytotherapy Research found that “A rapidly growing number of published studies have shown that aqueous, hydroalcohol, or alcohol extracts of M. oleifera leaves possess a wide range of additional biological activities including antioxidant, tissue protective (liver, kidneys, heart, testes, and lungs), analgesic, antiulcer, antihypertensive, radioprotective, and immunomodulatory actions. A wide variety of polyphenols and phenolic acids as well as flavonoids, glucosinolates, and possibly alkaloids is believed to be responsible for the observed effects. ”

Due to these unique properties it has been labeled “the miracle tree” and groups like Trees for Life have planted millions of the plant across starvation-ravaged African nations.  In addition to providing nutrition and medicine from the leaves and pods, the seeds of the Moringa tree can also be used to purify brackish water and are recommended for such purposes by the World Health Organization.

The Food Movement has sought to combine these benefits – the unique health-giving properties of the tree – along with the beneficial social and environmental impact; by selling organic Moringa in the US to raise money for groups like Trees for Life.  Whether your interest is in Moringa’s ability to combat hunger and lack of clean drinking water on a global scale; or if you’re just looking for health benefits for yourself – Moringa can be a true miracle.

Can Humic and Fulvic Acid benefit the immune system?

Humic Acid and Fulvic Acid are unique organic compounds found in nature which have shown promise in scientific research regarding the reduction of heavy metals in the environment, in animals, and more recent research suggests that they may also benefit the human immune system.Virus ENVC

Researcher Dr Richard Laub has published new and interesting approaches to examining these benefits through his work with the National Institutes of Health http://livingorganicearth.wordpress.com/2013/12/03/dr-richard-laub-discusses-humic-and-fulvic-acid-for-human-health/

In a product like Alkalize 55, or Whole Earth Minerals, the unique humic compounds are found along with 70+ trace minerals which may hold the key to hidden mysteries within the cells of the human body as well.  You can see why some of us are greatly interested in combing humic fulvate minerals with foods, based on the cutting edge research currently going on.

Consider this study entitled “Genetic diversity-independent neutralization of pandemic viruses (e.g. HIV), potentially pandemic (e.g. H5N1 strain of influenza) and carcinogenic (e.g. HBV and HCV) viruses and possible agents of bioterrorism (variola) by enveloped virus neutralizing compounds (EVNCs).” and published in the journal Vaccine, which explores combining fulvic acid with pomegranate as an “enveloped virus neutralizing compound”

Whole Earth Minerals : humates, humic acid and fulvic acid for the benefit of humankind

It seems an auspicious date, 12/12/12 as it were, to unveil the genesis of Whole Earth Minerals.  After much research, two groups I have worked with have finally formed an alliance through Medicatrix Naturae and the release of Whole Earth Minerals, a complex of humates, humic acid, fulvic acid and 72 biominerals is upon us.WEMinerals-large

Like much emergent science, the subject matter is esoteric.  The playing field is crowded with multi-level marketing claims and polluted products; yet the underlying truth is that humates represent a series of compounds which are very beneficial to the human body. How best to bring them to the people?

Well, in natural medicine the first rule is Primer Nocer Noctum, or first do no harm. I have to tell you that when I and my associates first started investigating humates, we came into contact with some material that was utterly polluted.  Amazingly, some people believe you can pull organic mineral deposits out of the ground without any purification or processing and serve them to people! This, my friends, is blatantly irresponsible and dangerous.

At long last we have found a raw material that meets our standards (including the standards of California’s Proposition 61!) and are moving forward with our dietary supplement Whole Earth Minerals. It is an exciting time to be part of this new science connecting us with this ancient living organic material.

There is so much to write on this subject that we have created a blog, Living Organic Earth, which will be filled with information on humates, humic acid, fulvic acid and trace minerals in the days to come.  I will say this; the research on humates is compelling, yet a great deal of misinformation (like this) exists out there.  The truth is this may be one supplement we can’t afford not to pay attention to.

High Vibrational Foods

If you’ve been exploring natural health and healthy eating principles, you may have come across recommendations that you eat “high vibrational foods.”  It is an interesting turn of phrase, causing one to wonder perhaps what frequency the REST of our diet is vibrating at?  And what precisely does this mean?

One thing we can infer rather quickly is that high vibrational foods are full of good energy.  If we’re moving UP, we are ascending into higher levels of understanding and higher levels of behavior, including what foods we eat.  A subject like this would seem to unify the ideas of spiritual practice and proper nutrition.

Yet, as with anything physical, there has to be some empirical answer.  What are high vibrational foods exactly?

Author Lorraine Shea identifies high vibrational foods as  those which grows close to the sun and are packed with nutrients.  She also identifies Raw Cacao, Goji Berries, nuts as well as some meats.

Susan Lavery, writing for noted Cancer survivor Lance Armstrong-founded Livestrong foundation also lists Organically grown food as top of the list of things which are high vibrational.  This is consistant with the observation that pesticides and other chemicals which are toxic to the body can lower the body’s natural vitality and therefore the body’s overall vibration.  She quotes wellness coach Kathleen Kalil who opines, “When we eat high-vibrational foods, our energy is high and our life force is strong. We have better focus, emotional balance, and plentiful energy to handle whatever the day brings.”

These are probably not new pieces of information to you, dear reader, that you should be seeking out organic nutrient-dense foods!  However, the quantum metaphor of “high vibrational foods” does bring into focus some other areas of interest, such as how food can remain vital as best as possible, and how to talk about the energy of foods beyond the gross measure of kilocalories and marker compounds.

So, it is interesting – once we have discovered some examples of things which are identified as high vibrational we can see that they are all things which are beneficial to the human body.  Furthermore they are often things which are also beneficial to our environment, such as eating organic and buying local.  In some ways, this frequency thing may be some key to measuring our enlightenment on the path to better health and a higher consciousness.

There seems also to be a connection between the discussion of high vibrational foods, and the use of essential oils.  A Vibrational Blog gives us more on this indicating they have measured Rose oil vibrating at 320 mHz (essentially the top end of the spectrum). Much of this research was based on the work of Bruce Taiinio.

“During his work with plants, soil, and water in his agricultural projects, Bruce Tainio of Tainio Technology invented and built a machine called a BT3 Frequency Monitoring System. This device – modified and perfected over the years – used a highly sensitive sensor to measure bio-electrical frequencies of plant nutrients and essential oils. To summarize how it worked – As a Hertzian wave is generated and travels out from its source, it transfers energy to the objects it passes through. The frequency monitor’s sensor measures the nano voltage of that wave, using the predominant frequency in the megahertz range, filtering out the lower and higher ranges. The BT3 measures the composite frequency of the vibratory emissions in electrical voltage – MHz – of the elements and enzymes remaining in the oils.”

Bruce Tainio has since passed away, and the BT3 is no longer in production.  His legacy appears to live on in an interesting company called Coherent Resources.
